I am a calm laid back individual who is usually asleep. But when I'm not its hard to tell I'm not trying to be asleep. I play guitar/bass in my spare time. And listen to various genres of music. Predominately metal and rock.

So my guitar STILL Isn't done getting repaired!

Posted by Viper - April 3rd, 2011

I brought my guitar in over 2 weeks ago and still isn't done.
The only thing that NEEDED to be fixed were the pots for the knobs and the coil tap.
And the thing is I was told it was gonna be done last Saturday and nothing.

Update:
MY GUITAR IS DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just got a call like 3 minutes ago saying it is done!

So my guitar STILL Isn't done getting repaired!

Thats a easy do it yourself job there.

But I didn't have any of the parts so I had to bring it in.

I do it all the time with my Strat with nothing but a screwdriver.

Yeah but the pots and coil tap were completely wrecked so I had to get them replaced.

Well then, why not just go pick it up and buy the part and install it yourself? would be quicker, and id imagine cheaper...

I would but the place where its at is closed on Sundays and it's almost halfway done it just needs to get the Coil Tap put in and the part got ordered so it should be done by Tuesday.
And I'm getting a case with the guitar.
And its gonna cost in total $25 for everything.

Coolbeans dude, I have no idea what a coil tap is and sounds like a pretty good price, but the closest i ever got to instruments was a brief stint when I played the clarinet ^_^

I played the Trumpet.

Pots you can get for really cheap, and as long as you have the right equipment for soldering. As for the coil tapping, I would personally just add a single coil; it may require a little drilling, but it's extremely easy.

The coil tap was on the guitar when I got it.
And like I said its over halfway done so I don't have to worry about that.
And it get a free case with it so thats a plus.

Why u mad?

Cause I was told it was gonna be done over a week ago.
