Last night wasn't an "actively happy and engaging evening". All I did was get a frame for the poster I bought. It's a lot bigger than I thought it was. So I don't know where I'm going to put it......It is exactly 18"x24" which is a lot bigger than my Sleep poster and my Boris poster. But mines in a more limited amount than anything in my room except my Acid King vinyl (only 20 of em) so theres that.....

American Sharks just listen to their whole debut album. I put a link for it in the beginning of my post.
The Sword check out: Freya, How Heavy This Axe, Lawless Lands, and Apocryphon. Thats one from each of their albums. So it'd give you a good idea as to how the rest of said albums sound.
Clutch I guess check Electric Worry and Earth Rocker. Electric Worry was apparently used for commercials for the game Left 4 Dead.

Oh hey. I don't know why but I feel like telling you this.
After listening to that American Sharks album like 8 times I suddenly got hit with inspiration to write lyrics! o: the main thing behind it is about being pissed off and driving fast and recklessly xD
I have the general idea as to what I want the music to sound like. But I just can't seem to get the guitar part to sound right. And I want to get that right before I even think about writing any bass.
Though I need to finish the lyrics to first verse. I only have one line of that, an entire second verse, prechorus, and a chorus all done when it comes to lyrics.
It's going to be a fast paced "Stoner Punk" song.
Although there are many more posts talking about doing projects, rather than completing them... well, I believe in you 100% Totes rageous lyrics and structure man, I know it's in you!
I need to listen through that album a bunch more times to see if I'm hit with any more inspiration to actually FINISH the lyrics....I actually listened to it 5 or 6 times yesterday.
It's only 19 minutes long and there are 9 songs!!! Thats crazy considering they're not exactly a Punk band. I mean, they are. But they're also not. It's hard to explain.

K, finally took some time to check out the tracks you reccomended. Some pretty good stuff in there..
Just listened to a few American Sharks tracks, but they sound great, gritty, sometimes psychedelic. Watched Indian Man; Overdrive, some concert footage from a Portland concert where they wrote a custom song for ten minutes before starting. :D Haha, awesome personalities... and that drummer is INTENSE.
The Sword had a bit a flat sound IMO, didn't really get into Freya, bit slow maybe... How Heavy This Axe was faster but still just didn't really sync with me. Lawless Lands was pretty groovy though, a melody that fits the pace, not forced the same way. Oh, and Apocryphon! That was a different sound! I like how they seem to have evolved... the order of the tracks is pretty much the same as my order of taste, from OK to great!
Clutch was awesome. Great voice, groovy music, classic rock n roll. Been way too long since I listened to this genre... Earth Rocker, lmao XD Thanks for some good listening!
I've listened to that entire American Sharks album like 30 times (literally) since I got it on Tuesday xD
I think my favorites off of it are Overdrive, Demon With Glass Sword, and 11:11. The singer probably had the best personality out of them when I saw em. He kept making jokes while he was on stage. And yeah the drummer IS intense. He was sweating like crazy like 4 songs into their set and they went through that entire album and played the other stuff they have off of this 7" they have released.
To be honest Gods Of The Earth is my least favorite album by The Sword. Then it goes Ages Of Winter, Apocryphon, and my favorite is Warp Rider. Apocryphon is slowly becoming tied with Warp Riders though. I mean, Warp Riders has Lawless Lands, Tres Brujas, (The Night The Sky Cried) Tears Of Fire, Acheron/Unleashing The Orb, Night City, and Arrows In The Dark.
Whereas Apocryphon has Veil Of Isis, Cloak Of Feathers, Execrator, Hawks & Serpents, Dying Earth, and the title track. But yeah it seems that they're getting progressively better and better with each album they release. Which makes me wonder how they're going to top Apocryphon when they decide to release their next album.
As for Clutch I felt the singer was overly dramatic while singing. Granted he was worse with that live than he is on studio stuff.

Nah it's not. I tend to be more "rock oriented" with the stuff I listen to. But I also listen to Big Band and Classical stuff too. Along with Jazz and Blues and a bunch of other stuff.

The cabbie who drove me back from the courthouse Tuesday, was a network engineer! He should try driving for NASCAR... He drive buses before that. He showed me his license (CDL) I never saw so many endorsements! He's got hazmat, but I don't think he had the one for nuclear waste or nitroglycerin.

He picked up CDL certification stuff here to drive a bus, and just kept going with his endorsements... should've asked how much. I couldn't get one anyway because I hate traffic and like pot.
