Had a huge skunk on my porch, then one of the kittens wanted more (left over chicken), so it dived onto the screen door - skunks I can handle, but pissy cats get no mercy from me >:(
Yeah Unicode stuff works now. Same with Asian stuff. Though I think Korean is stuff messing up for people. You can also type stuff in Russian and other languages like that. And you can also put Umlauts on letters and accents too.
I've actually never seen a skunk alive in person before ._. I've only seen a few dead ones at the side of the road.

Yeah, that's the one small critter you do not want to hit. Sometimes they get a spray off before they die. My Pop threw a dead skunk on the hot engine of this one kid's car in school... kid had to junk the car, it stunk so bad! The kid was a prick anyway, going 60 MPH on a dirt road, in a brand new Plymouth his folks bought :|

800 bucks to put new tires on the truck. gotta go back Sunday (or Sat) for the spare to get done, they only had 4 of the tires I needed... Shame my Pop isn't around to enjoy them. I had to point at the guy, and tell him not to put 100 ft/lbs of tension on the lugs (what he said they torque them to), told him 70 was more than enough :\ I shoulda checked them right there, but it was parked up front in a tight spot. Even 70 is a fuck of a lot.

Same with the amount of torque for the tires. When I was in auto class we had a few trucks come in for tire changes and we didn't put really anything over 60 ft/lbs on the lug nuts when putting them back on.
O_e you had a hydraulic tire press in auto shop? Damn. All I ever had was a tire breaker stand and a bunch of (good) tire irons. Changed shit-tons of them... enough to not want to do any more, ever. again.
Yeah shit, all truck tires go for over a 100$ apiece new :| I needed 5, since the spare sucks ass, might as well get a thoroughly matched set. Took under an hour. Spent 10$ on a burger and fries at the nearby mall :\ walked around to see if it was on the lift, then saw it out front with 21st century shoes on it... paid and left the taco stand |:

Eh, you need good company for along drive. Helps if all the passengers take a turn at the wheel. But parents can be so judgmental, can't they? I had to hit a tire with rim doing about 40, with my family in the car :| I couldn't get in the left lane, so I had to hit it square, had seconds to slow down and look for an opening... traffic was too fast. Car did okay, any faster or slower, there woulda been repercussions... all talk of my driving skills ceased for a few months after that.
Whenever I want to go somewhere thats outside of town no one wants to go with me so I end up not going because I HATE driving alone.
Where did it hit the car? And do you know what kind of tire it was? o.O
Also no one says anything about my driving skills because out of everyone in my family that can or is willing to drive (as in me, my dad and sister) I'm the only one that hasn't gotten into an accident that was caused by myself doing something stupid while driving. The ONLY time I ever got into a car accident was while I was driving my sister's car and when I turned onto another street the car pulled to the right after I turned and the front passenger side smacked into a tree (you already know about this).
To prevent the Ford LTD from being a semi's hood ornament, I actually had to speed up a little (I recall my Mom or Sis whimpering about that). Turned out the truck in back of me was loaded too :|

This reminds me of something that happened a few days ago.
A friend of my sister's (who she is in a band with) got into a car accident. She swerved to avoid a raccoon that ran out into the road. She ended up going off the road and flipping her car a bunch of times and had to go to the hospital. Apparently she SHOULD have died in the accident. And the doctors told her that her 4th vertebrae snapped completely in half and she has to wear a neck brace. Also they told her that she can take the brace off when she goes to sleep but she can't move at all because if she does one of two things WILL happen. She'll either become completely paralyzed or she'll die.
Hmm, how many more of these can I get in before you notice?!

I remember years ago him mentioning it... hard to believe NG was running on an old db-type for so long... though, this is the 3rd major infrastructure change since he started. How ya doin'? I was a tad irritated to see NG was down for awhile today xD but I'm glad they updated the site. Though now everything that was in unicode before the update has turned to the jumbled up random symbols and whatnot that was on there before.
I actually did buy some clothes today ._. though I only bought a shirt and a pair of pants. The shirt I bought is a Black Sabbath shirt :3 I also bought some new shoes because the shoes I was constantly wearing were a pair a dress shoes and the soles are falling off.

Was tempted to get some new shoes, kinda. The ones I got on now need some duct tape on one sole. Tape doesn't show, and the cross-trainers weren't water resistant to begin with :\

I see....my dad had some late-70s LTDs ._. and I would have at least slammed on the brakes and not swerved off the road... My sister is planning on giving her this stuffed dolphin that she bought and when she mentioned that she was getting that I suggested getting her friend a stuffed raccoon and then putt on it a note card that says "Get ready for Round 2" and she actually got it! o: We're waiting on the stuffed dolphin to arrive to give em to her.
I've been needing new shoes for well over a year. I have a tendency to burn through shoes in under a year and cause big spots of the sole to be worn almost all the way down causing water to pretty much pour into my shoes whenever it rains or is wet outside.

Well, just some scratching on the radiator protector pan and some paint chips missing from the bottom of the air cowl plastic.... uber lucky, I have only the Dukes of Hazzard to thank, really :)
Nah, I almost could've stopped before it (oh, you mean her, dur, well still..), but the rig behind me had nowhere to go either, except up my trumpet! Heard him locking up the brakes, right before I accelerated.. that my cue to yyyyyyyyee-haa - was in the middle of 3 lanes, no shoulder :| Insane traffic, no warning about the tires (no overhead warning signs, that worked), or a trooper with a slowthefuckdown gate on his butt.. Yeah, those ford discs would warp easy if you hit the brakes too hard... what assholes.
Yup, good thing about being short and having kinda largish feet, low wear on the soles, but everything else seems to go first, especially glue related bits :|

I hate the brakes in my Ranchero ._. I don't know if I mentioned this but out of nowhere once the brakes AND steering went out. And after that it NEVER happened again. We checked and there was also nothing wrong with either the brakes or steering. Weird....
Well...I'm like between 5'5" and 5'6" and my shoe size is 10. I'd say I have normal sized feet for my height ._.
Brakes and PS went out at the same time? But.. they both have different sending units, right? My buddy had a Ranchero, man, just struggling to remember the stuff we talked about. Mmmmight be vacuum line related, but don't see how...

Well there hasn't been any issues with either since then. Though we replaced some stuff for the brakes a few months afterwards.
