Mah Birthday ._.

Posted by Viper - March 17th, 2014

Woo I'm offically 21 now. Yippie for me. I can technically drink legally now. But I don't really want to. Doesn't sound all that appealing to me to be honest.

Not much else to say I guess. My last post was up for nearly 4 months and not a whole lot happened from then til now. Other than I have a girlfriend now. We've been "going out" since like mid-February but we weren't officially going out til March 8th.

We went on a short birthday date thingy on Saturday because she lives like 2 hours away from here and can only come over on the weekends. We went bowling and ate lunch at Wendy's (haha). Then I came back home and she gave me a dozen Red Velvet cupcakes that she made for me. I still have like 3 left. And on Saturday I have a birthday party to go to for my Grandma. Who I happen to share my birthday with. Though the party is pretty much just for her. Though we were told that we can still bring a cake or whatever for me too.

You're still making alts? Ah, nah... think of another username, but a short one.

Yep. I will continue to make as many alts as I can. For as long as I can.
Nah I'm still making it "ViperE". So there *sticks tongue out*
I could try doing another song name. Because this alt http://demonlung.newgrounds.com/ is named after an Electric Wizard song. I wanted to go with Supercoven but that was already taken....

Fine, you can be vipery if you like.... but you're not getting any child support from me, just because we share the same last name (initial)
I'm sure there's a band name out there that hasn't been taken yet.

Yeah more than likely. I'll see if I can get an Uncle Acid song title for a name. I'm thinking something like Ill-Cut-You-Down, DeathsDoor, PoisonApple, Mindcrawler, DeathValleyBlues, or EvillovE (the song is called Evil Love but I think it looks interesting like that).

Cutyoudown sounds good, you might even be able to get CYD. I know a PoisonHeart, so that would be awkward... have yet to hear back from him, I sent him a cheap HD.

Dude, I just got done watching Alice Cooper performing with Muppets (furries!) Welcome to my nightmare and School's out, with some bizarre love song in the middle O_O Then I saw James Coburn and Animal become weeaboos... man, no wonder I'm so fucked up! I used to watch the Muppet show when I was 7 or so...

Hmm....let me check. Nah CYD is already taken. Granted it's an 11 year old account that hasn't been used. Though I'm pretty sure Tom wouldn't get rid of an account just so I could make an alt account.

He was performing with the Muppets? o.O

Well, there goes our super secret login page... Tom let the security certificate for online sales lapse |:

just responded to your other comment.

And after an hour, it's back up again :| I don't mind liljim correcting me, but I'd like to know why it was down just before midnight. That DNS company looks suspicious...

Indeed it does look suspicious >.>

Yeah, the Muppet show was on TV when I was about 5 years old, and can remember damn near all of them.... pre-cable days, no less. Freaky stuff, top shelf guests, it's no wonder I'm so screwed up.

Eh, I had a list of about a dozen usernames when I joined up here, and all of them were taken :| Try a few names every day, you'll get a good alt.

Might have just been me, idk, but I worry about teh folks who bought TP while the secure http was down, or, unrecognized for some odd reason.

I didn't watch much of the Muppets when I was growing up to be honest...at least I don't THINK I did o.O

Really? I did too. But it makes more sense that it was like that for me since I joined in 2010 and there was already a decades worth of usernames already taken by that time.

Who all bought that anyways?

What are you saying man, you want to drink but... it doesn't sound all that appealing? O_o Contraditions! A bit late but Happy Birthday! Sounds like life is groovy.

How old's your grandma?

Yeah? O.o
Thanks.

She turned 80 this year. Was born back in 1934 and already had 3 kids by the time she was my age. My dad, an aunt of mine, and one of my uncles. Then she had a 4th when she was 22. In total she had 8 kids. And out of those 1 of them is dead. Which was my uncle Donny. Who was like my dad's best friend when he was a kid.

Missed 'don't' between the I and really? O.o

Woo, eighty even years, that's more than just a normal party then! My grandma made it to 93, had just four kids, two daughters and two sons, buta shitload of grandchildren! And grandgrandchildren. Aaaand... one grandgrandgrandchild. She outlived both sons though.

Oh whoa. I didn't even notice that. Fixed it.
But yeah. I don't really want to drink even though I legally can do so now.

Yeah. My great-grandma made it to I wanna say 96. And she had....I wanna say 4 kids as well. And then a ton of grandchildren and so on and so forth.

My Pop would've been 82 this year. Glad to know much of your family is still around Brandon, that's a huge asset to have. You wouldn't wanna be the last man hanging out, like me.

Yeah..... ._.

Well there's still 3 weeks to go before the party, and I'm hoping it will be an all weekend long affair... but I'll ask around about how to record a webpage in real time... maybe @cyberdevil knows of an app. If I can build a real PC in time, and have a good enough wifi connection, I'd like to record the party too!

Well even if it IS all weekend long I probably wont be home til maybe 4 or 5 in the afternoon. Maybe even a bit later than that. So I'd miss out on damn near everything :/ Oh well. I guess thats the "price" I gotta pay for wanting to hang out with my girlfriend. So I can't (and wont) complain about that.

I'd imagine it wouldn't be TOO hard to do that. But I guess you can ask around if you want to....

Still need to buy a suit, reserve the room... clean out the truck. I don't know if anyone wants to hitch a ride out there or back, but considering how lousy the truck is on gas and how far away the party is, best I get it stocked like I did my old car :( I just hope my sister doesn't fly in last minute like last time.

You're buying a suit?
Yeah that'd suck (about your sister coming there at the last minute).

Haha, it happens. I remember turning 18 btw (the legal drinking age in Sweden) and the only thing I was really hyped about was getting a license (it's the legal driving age too, the... drinking and driving age :P)...

96! Man that's a lot. You wanna say? She didn't?

I remember being hyped for getting my license. But that was when I was 16. So....5 years ago. Though now I hardly drive anymore. I need to drive more because my gf lives up near Chicago and it's a 2 hour drive there and I've made it a point to tell her I feel bad whenever she has to drive down here to see me.

It's more that I know she had around that many but I don't remember if it was one more or less.

@VicariousE something like http://www.ffsplit.com/ ?

What's keeping you away from the wheel? If fuel was cheaper here I think just cruising around would be a big hobby of mine... exploring new roads, roaming around the uncharted ways of the wild, embarking wherever the paths branch. :) Even better if there's a reason for the trip...

Ah, same thing about the age?

For some reason my dad doesn't "trust me" driving that far. Even though I've been driving for half a decade! Though gas is a bit of an issue too. But I've been seriously considering getting an actual job so I can get a better car thats more fuel efficient. Because my Ranchero (car in my profile pic) gets like between 10 and 13 mpg. Whereas my sister's Hyundai gets around 27 or so for in town and 30 highway.

I don't know what you mean for that last sentence ._. And I don't know why.....

Wit that last sentence I was referring to the 'My great-grandma made it to I wanna say 96' comment, not sure about the age either?

My dad will probably never really trust my driving either, though it's more about not trusting me with his car. If I had my own there'd be no limitations, but we just have the one parking space soooo there's the limitation right there. Holy hell man 10 mpg does sounds pretty expensive... good thing you have cheap fuel over there. Our SAAB 95 gets around 30, with air conditioning and everything, and I've always considered that a bit too costly... my brothers old Volvo Amazon from 1970 was as 'fuel-efficient' as this one. Compare them to a car like Skoda Citigo - 70 mpg... that's the future!

Ah. I don't remember exactly how old she was when she died because I was like 10 or younger at the time. So roughly a decade ago.

Well I have two. That Ranchero and if you look theres a little blue car in my profile pic too. Thats also my car. It's my first car actually. A 1961 Studebaker Lark VIII Cruiser 4-door. It's an incredibly hard to find car and parts for it tend to be pretty expensive.
Yeah.....the reason why its as bad as it is now is because it has a 4 BBL carburetor on it at the moment and is sucking up too much gas. So my dad and I are planning on getting a 2 BBL and putting that on there to replace the one thats on it now. And hopefully I'll get better gas mileage. The Ranchero has air conditioning as well as heat. But neither are hooked up at the moment. I also need to get the radio fixed because it's been sitting in a garage for a year or so and sometime during then I guess a mouse got in and chewed through a wire for the radio and now it doesn't work. Same with the CD changer thats in the car too (it has a 12 disc CD changer in it).

I like the Saab 95, even though it's heavy as hell, and the one I pushed to the driveway, had a stuck fuel gauge. @cyberdevil Ooh, I like the low cpu thingy... have you used this before? I'd have to read reviews before installing anything......

Yup, a suit. Oh man, I know she'll want to come out and micromanage me again soon, but her man is sick and needs constant care.

Oh. Well lets still hope that if she DOES come out there, it'll be after the Pico Day stuff.

Yeah it's a fun ride, compared to the rather limited selection of vehicular variations I've tried so far it really sticks to the road. @VicariousE I've never done any livestreaming before so no personal experience, I stumbled onto that site through some recommendation. A search for livestreaming should bring up some alternatives... I guess some of the artists here have experience with this type of thing btw, always some newspost on a livestream going down.

Aha.

Woah, 12 disc, holy hell again. Did that come with the car? Well hope you drastically decrease the fuel consumption and save in vast amounts of cash. :D I'm hoping to accumulate a large collection of classics in faraway years to come, but probably more for show than for driving

Yeah it came with the car. It's also got subs behind the seats and a completely different radio in it.
I really hope so too. That way I can go up there and not worry about spending ALL of my money just filling up the gas tank. I've been thinking about getting at least one or two more old cars within the next decade or two. But nothing incredibly expensive.

At least if I misspell your name (which I just did seconds ago), the computer can autocorrect...
Dude, I warned you about mice and their love affair with cars (vans)... never eat deep fry and wire a car stereo without washing your hands in between....

@cyberdevil Skoda doesn't make cars here in the States >:( I'd like try out a Yeti, or whatever they use for rally cross.

Yeah you did....but it's been sitting in there for awhile so it could have happened the year before last during that winter because THIS winter was awful.
Anyways. I'm hoping to get the Ranchero out before the end of the month and seeing what the damage is for the radio.

@VicariousE Woar... a car brand doesn't exist in the US!! I thought you had all types over there... the Yeti does look pretty fun. Has the battle for fuel-conservative vehicles reached you btw? How's the market for electric cars, ethanol etc over there?

We actually have a bunch of brands and models that aren't available here. Or are only available in limited quantities.

Sounds awesome (the sound system I mean). Hmm... more cars. How about a Rolls-Royce? :L I'd like to get one of those... along with some old Ford Taunus or Mustang, a Chevrolet Chevelle, a Trabant, a Volvo Amazon... and then something I could drive around in regularly. Modern cars don't look that good though...

I don't think I'll ever be able to afford a Rolls-Royce ._.
Never heard of a Ford Taunus but after looking it up I liked the 52-55 12M. My sister has a '68 Mustang and my dad had a '67 Mustang. And my cousin has (I'm not entire sure what happened to it....) a '72 Chevelle.
I've been thinking about getting a newer car to drive around since I can't really afford to have anything happen to my Lark or Ranchero. Both literally and figuratively.

I saw an ad for a Rolls a couple of years back, wasn't in best possible shape but it was priced at around $5,000... considering brand that doesn't seem like a bad price at all. I have hope! :)

Yeah, they're pretty sweet! Looks a bit like Amazon too. I like all models up until the mid 70's, but those early ones are definate favorites. Oh man your family seems to have an awesome
taste in cars!! :D

Wise thought.

Thats pretty cheap for a Rolls o.O I know someone one town over from me has I wanna say a Silver Shadow and have brought it to some car shows.

We do have a pretty awesome taste in cars. At the moment we have 6 classic cars, 2 vans, and my sister's Hyundai. The cars we have are: my Ranchero (which is black and purple), my Lark (originally Riviera Blue but now it's Bonnet Blue), my sister's Mustang (it's Maroon but was Ivy Gold), a '58 Chevy Biscayne 4-door in robin egg blue with a white roof, a '51 Studebaker Champion 4-door in navy blue, and a '56 Studebaker President in Sunglow Gold and Snowcap White.

Well my dad is trying to get me to get this '92 Buick Riviera. It's only $1000 so it's pretty cheap and apparently "runs like a Cadillac" and has a bunch of room inside.
