everything in this world is relative,you strengthen an idea when you prove it with laws and logics.therefore it becomes "truth" within certain limits,not to a whole reality.
you can't even prove reality is reality.
defining truth like if it was a solid barrier will only obstruct your view.
seeing everything limited like you do will make your thoughts simple
you won't reach any superior knowledge if you restrain your mind to what you think is "truth".
There is no truth.

Perhaps I should explain myself. To me fact and truth are one and the same. I do not see the world through black and white morality. What is fact is true. Facts can change. If you go so far to suggest that everything is subjective, you'll only imprison yourself in the limbo of nihilism. Not moving forwards, or back. And there is a great difference with what you suggest, and my actual methods. Whereas you take on everything with a blank state, I am willing to accept new information at an uncompromising rate, and develop my formula to accept new ideas, long as they remain supportable, and reasonable. Truth is an amendable trait, as well as a misleading word.

i base this on what you show me.to me you sounded like someone who can't accept anything you cant see.that is simple and dumb.
the way you use words shows that you want to have the image of someone intelligent.
thats the opposite of sandy who shortens simple words.

i cant judge your intelligence,i dont know you,but until now you've only shown me limited views.people are screens,you project how you want to be seen on them and that's how they'll see you.
i see you as someone who rejects things like if nothing could be useful.
just like a christian who blindly rejects anything told to be "made by the devil".
when you say history presents us with NOTHING you sound like a complete ignorant who judges things he doesnt know.
there are things you need to accept so you can progress.

History is critical to my existence. I must have a exceeding comprehension of it to live. Through history, we can study battle tactics, philosophy, and multiple other things. I can say that I history is a useful trait, but can I prove that I need it? No. I can't. However, you are only amplifying history as a valuable trait by thinking of what you value, and whatever you find to be important. However, some stances do not require history. If one has no concern over human beings, he needn't study the activities of mankind throughout history. If someone disregards the universe at whole, he didn't be learned in the topic. Certain stances do not require history, but my position does.

history is much more.
if you want to study the universe you will need to learn the history of science,the history of the universe,etc.
and what you just said is a contradiction to what you said on the last post.
